Here is a recap from our Parent Connection meeting held at Pioneer Elementary School (Valley View School District 365U) in Bolingbrook, IL in May, 2005.
Our recent Parent Connection went very well. We had about 20 adults and 16 children. Howard Rosenblum did a nice job sharing his story and answering questions about education and the law. Pam C did a great job keeping the kids entertained along with three high school volunteers and Chris Laskowski, a P. E. teacher who is deaf. Two of the moms donated drinks and doughnuts for the event.
The director of special education has invited us back to host another meeting next year. We also received a request for a Parent connection meeting in the Berwyn/Cicero area for the fall which will focus on Spanish-speaking families.
