Hello,
My name is Milinda. I have three children ranging from 6 1/2 down to 15 months. My youngest, Amanda was born with a cleft palate in turn having extremely difficulities from the beginning from feeding, gaining weight, etc etc.. After her cleft repair this past April things started to look up. She started speech therapy in late August, now will be having it twice a week. She has a 58% delay in language expression and other slight delays. After 2 hearing evals this past few months being inconclusive, she had an ABR done last week. As we expected she has moderate hearling loss in her right ear. Her left is considered borderline/normal to mild. She will be getting a hearing device for her right ear in a few weeks. She is involved with Early Intervention and DSCC. I would love to find some other parents for support. This has been overwhelming at times for me and would welcome support from others. Thank you so much, Sincerely, Milinda, Ottawa, IL
