Here is a recap from our Parent Connection meeting held at Whitney Young High School in April, 2006.
On Saturday, April 29th, we teamed up with Chicago Public Schools, Office of Specialized Services to host a Parent Connection meeting at Whitney Young High School.
Chris Mayworm, from Illinois Service Resource Center answered parents’ questions about development and identity. A variety of topics were covered, such as how to advocate for services on an IEP, socialization and self-identity.
June Prusak from Chicago Hearing Society – Youth Services teamed up with Pam Clohesey and Chris Laskowski, a physical education teacher, to entertain the children during the two-hour meeting.
