I am looking for software programs for a deaf child age 5 to 6 with games, puzzles, and simple stories, etc. He is unable to process any auditory ques and needs materials that don’t require it to use.

Congratulations on meeting the needs of families with hearing loss for many years.

I hoped for deaf grandchildren as my two hearing daughters married deaf men, but so far all four are hearing – I have no complaints.

Since I am concerned for children with hearng loss,
and since I have ministered to deaf adult, teens, and children for almost 15 years in Schaumburg…

I want to inform you that our church is beginning a class for Elementary children with hearing loss every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

It is called Bible Adventure Club. I have flyer that explains more. Opening date is Oct. 7.

At the same time we offer a free sign language class for parents who wish to improve their communication with deaf children. The teacher is a deaf woman who has taught ASL for many years in our community.

my daughter is 9 and she also has mondini’s. she has been having “migrains” since she was 2. could this be vertigo? she also has bi-lateral enlarged vestibular aquaducts. i have allways wondered if the Migrains were really a sign of vertigo and she just didnt know how to explain what was going on. any tips or help with this would be great!

I am a member of your listserve. I am on the conference committee for the CHARGE Syndrome conference which will be held in July this summer in Bloomingdale, IL. We are looking for volunteers in our childcare area, specifically those who have experience with children with special needs and/or know sign language.
