My name is Marci Mies and I am swim instructor at the HIgh Ridge YMCA in Chicago. (Touhy and Western) I am trying to start a swim class in sign language, for deaf and hard of hearing students. The YMCA will run the class as long as I have 6 students. Let me give you more information about myself. I recently graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in deaf education. I am currently a teacher of deaf and hard of hearing students who have multiple disabilities. The date and times of the swim lessons will be determined based on student availability.
