Hi all,
I am writing to all of my friends who have been closely associated themselves with deaf and hard of hearing issues. THIS IS ONE ISSUE YOU CAN’T MISS!
We are having a Town Hall meeting at Hinsdale South High School on April 13th from 1 to 3:30 pm. It is regarding the Hearing Aids Bill. Two of our Illinois General Assembly Representatives will be present: Representative Sandy Pihos and Representative Patti Bellock.
WE ARE TRYING TO PASS THE BILL. THE BILL COULD COVER INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR HEARING AIDS AND COCHLEAR IMPLANTS. WE NEED YOUR HELP! THE TIME IS NOW! WE MUST COME TOGETHER TO FIGHT FOR THIS! OTHER STATES HAVE THIS LAW. WE DON’T. This is a forum where we can discuss the issues and have our voices heard. Chicago Tribune reporters will be there. We are currently trying to get Karen Meyers on site.
Interpreters and CART service will be provided. Please tell your deaf friends and carpool!!!
If you have any questions, email me. Dennis O’Brien is chairing the event.
Please come out and show us the support. Thank you so much!
Ann Flannery
